How do you lead an active healthy life style?  Mr. Nichols believes that teaching children and young adults to lead active healthy life styles is the foundation for a long successful life.

Mr. Nichols focuses his curriculum on teaching his students how to incorporate sports and activities that can be used to facilitate an active healthy life style.  Also, it is his hope to help young adults in developing a plan to remain healthy and active after high school.

In addition to teaching P.E., Mr. Nichols keeps active the whole year round by participating in activities during Vermont's seasons.  During the summer canoeing, hiking and  "backcountry running" are some of Mr. Nichols favorite activities.  Mr. Nichols enjoys hunting in the fall and is an avid "backcountry/telemark skier" throughout the winter.

Mr. Nichols also enjoys being a co-advisor to the outing club with Mr. Masson.  This is a great time to teach young adults outdoor living skills and outdoor pursuits while having fun.

Mr. Nichols hopes to work in conjunction with Mr. Placy to develop a solid strength training program to enhance Canaan's athlete's performance.
