Dear Canaan Students and Families,
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Principal of Canaan Schools. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such enthusiastic students, dedicated teachers, and a supportive school community.
Over the past month I have been settling into my new position, and I look forward to the return of students and staff at the end of the month. This is my eleventh year in the field of education, and I have worked with students ranging from Prek-12. I have been a high school science teacher, a teacher leader/instructional coach, and I spent the last two years as an assistant principal in a PreK-8 school.
I grew up in northern New Hampshire, so I am thrilled that I now get to work in the region where I was raised. I look forward to bringing my skills as an educational leader to Canaan Schools, and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.
I believe that what is best for students should drive all school-related decisions. And I believe there is always an opportunity to learn new things, so I look forward to learning more about our school and community for years to come. I look forward to meeting you all, and please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share.
Sincerely,
Chuck Patterson
Principal, Canaan Schools
