October is breast cancer awareness month. In honor of this Builder's Club students are selling support pins. Pins are sold by donation. If you'd like one they are available at the Canaan School. All proceeds will be donated to Two Rivers Relief for Cancer, a locally funded organization that helps Cancer Patients within our rural communities.

It’s the perfect place to meet others who love the game of chess, and increase your abilities of strategic thinking. Playing Chess promotes brain growth by exercising both sides of your brain! It can also raise your IQ, help teach planning and foresight, increases problem-solving skills, and improves memory. That’s a lot of benefits from just one game.

Strengthening Families Series 5-7 PM; starting on Oct. 15; The Strengthening Families approach is a proven way to support families and help them stay strong, with goal of keeping children safe and preventing harm. The Canaan School District Board is establishing a Facilities Committee to review the inventory and conditions assessment of the school facilities to strategically plan for the future needs of Canaan Schools. The Board is looking for interested stakeholders to participate on the committee. Come one, Come all to see the Canaan Schools Summer Camp Students performance tonight at 6 pm with Wunderle's Big Top Adventures!!!! Here is a little sneak peak of one of the practices. The kids have learned so much this week around balance, acrobatics, hand eye coordination and so much more. They have been determined, worked hard and are ready to entertain!
Before the show starting at 4 pm the Class of 2028 will have face painting , hot dogs, popcorn, beverages and other goodies for sale outside of the school. Come join in the fun!!!
Please check backpacks for a note about this week's activities! Please send students in with sneakers daily and please return the form that is coming home tonight to let us know if they will be attending the Thursday evening performance.
